Rosettes
Humans love rewards in life and we also like to feel part of a gang!
Rosettes have a long history of being worn to show one’s allegiance to a political party, dynasty or protest movement. The Suffragettes famously wore purple, green and white ones. These rosettes are for celebrating life's milestones, saying thanks or just for showing off!
The rotational symmetric design or cockade, derived from a French word meaning coq or show-off is an 16th century millinery technique. It is made by precisely hand folding ribbon anchored with stitches and knots. Napoleon Bonaparte's bicorne hat had a large cockade on the side!
